World should know a true Tibet: Chinese scholar

The world should enhance its understanding of a true Tibet, which is willing to present its development experiences over the past half century, a visiting Chinese scholar said here Thursday.
Hao Shiyuan, deputy secretary-general of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, made the remarks in an interview with Xinhua while heading a delegation of Chinese academicians in Chile.
Hao said China is seeking a peaceful environment for development based on mutual understanding.
